(he presses down button on elevator)
Me: Oh, you're going down too?
Mark: Yep.
Me: Oh man, we're going to have such a great conversation over the next 15 seconds, I can't wait!
Mark: Yeah, we'll probably just stand there in silence.
Me: I hate it when that happens.
Me: I can't stand it when I get in the elevator with someone I don't know, it's the most awkward thing ever!
(As I said that, the elevator door opens and someone we don't know is in it)
Mark: Speak of the devil…

Kid's aquatic centers are gross
We were talking at the station here about how gross those kid’s water play places are with all the peeing and everything that almost positively happens. Then we started talking about water parks being the same way. I never really thought about it before, but water parks recycle that water so that can’t be good. I don’t think I’ll try to stick to the dry amusement parks...

I’m sure this question has been asked before, but I want to know what the general tumblr-verse (can I call it that?) would think about this.  So here goes. Is it acceptable to use tumblr as a regular blog (with longer text posts) as well as a place to post the usual tumblr-like things?

RIP Tucker
We had to put our dog of 13.5 years down today. Goodbye Tucker, you were undoubtedly the best dog I’ve ever known. He started his life with us as a little puppy and has always been by our side whenever me or my parents were feeling cruddy or had a bad day. He was such a loyal friend, and we loved him so much. I can’t even recall a time he got into any real trouble or caused problems...

I can't seem to access Twitter!
So I’ve been trying to tweet the normal ways (either through tweetie, twitterific, or even the old fashioned website) and nothing has been working for me. The latest report on status.twitter.com is from the 15th so I’m assuming this isn’t something they are aware of yet or maybe it isn’t a widespread issue. I’ll of course check again when I wake up in a few hours, but...
